Kyushu's climate is moderate. The annual average temperature in the northern Kyushu is 16.3 C, and 17.7 C in the south. Blessed with plenty of un-spoilt nature, Kyushu also offers a variety of interesting sites to visit, such as theme parks and hot spring resorts. Modern urban life including shopping, art museums, and other entertainment can be enjoyed. Kyushu's average residential land prices are less than a sixth of Tokyo's even in Fukuoka, the largest city in Kyushu. Living expenses are also much lower. An international school and English-speaking medical services plus the presence of several foreign governmental organizations make life comfortable for non-Japanese too.
